Lead Gas Plant Operator

Reporting to the Midstream Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment and processes of the Ferrier gas plant for Canlin Energy. You will ensure staff and contractors conduct their operational activities in compliance with Canlin standards, programs and government regulations. You will support the Superintendent and liaise with departments including health and safety, auditors, drilling, completions, lease construction, facilities construction, environmental, land and other stakeholders such as regulators, producers, processors and landowners.

The primary process at the Ferrier Gas Plant is a Lean Oil Absorption system, which strips the propane, butane and pentane from the inlet gas. Ferrier also produces a heavy condensate called FX-2 which is used in drilling and well servicing. The plant design is 3168 e3m3/day raw inlet gas and 650 m3/d raw condensate. Propane and Butane that is fractionated from the raw gas stream is pumped 14 km south of the plant to the Lochearn Loading Facility where it is transported via rail or truck to market. The Ferrier Gas Plant is located 23 km North West of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience: Beginner to Intermediate level experience with an excellent understanding of Health and Safety legislation. Experience in upstream oil and gas environment an asset.

Education: Third class ABSA power engineering required, preference will be given to candidates with a second class ticket.

Technical Service North Area Lead

The Technical Services Area Lead is an integral position within the Technical Services Team of Canlin Energy’s Canadian Operations. The Field AIT’s and Field Engineers report to a Technical Services Area Lead. Each area group, along with Administrative Support and other Corporate Technical Advisors (related to measurement, turnarounds and pipeline/equipment integrity) form the Technical Services department, reporting to the Manager of Technical Services. The team provides technical, compliance, process safety, measurement, turnaround, engineering, and integrity related support in both the local operations and corporate settings. The aim of the Technical Services Team is to deliver focused, prioritized engineering and integrity support to successfully maintain current and future business operational plans.

The Technical Services Area Lead is required to mentor and lead the team of Field Engineers and Asset Integrity Techs (AIT’s) embedded within each Canlin Operational District within their Area. To ensure the Technical Services group is effective, adheres to standards and best practices, covers all areas, provides prioritized support to Operations, and is aligned with the goals of the Technical Services group; the Technical Services Area Lead shall be the primary interface with the Technical Services Leadership group, (Technical Services Manager and Technical Advisors), Field Operations Leaders, and various stakeholders/support roles within Canlin Energy.

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience: Minimum of 12 years related experience (over 8 years field based) in oil and gas operations engineering.

Education: Engineering Degree (preferably mechanical or chemical)

Vice President of Finance

The VP Finance will lead the Finance team ensuring that the core control, financial accounting, reporting and planning, business performance, liquidity, capital allocation, commodity hedging and risk/control processes are consistently applied.

The VP Finance will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in delivering the business priorities including meeting challenging operational and financial objectives as well as portfolio restructuring and delivering value from the midstream assets and investing for growth and value.

Experience: 15+ years of experience and CPA and/or CFA preferred. Several years of senior leadership experience in the oil and gas industry is required.

Asset Integrity Technician

The Asset Integrity Technician (AIT) is an integral position within Canlin Energy’s Operations. The Field AIT’s and Field Engineers report to a Technical Services Area Lead. Each area team, along with other corporate technical disciplines form the Technical Services department, reporting to the Manager of Technical Services. The team provides technical, compliance, process safety, measurement, turnaround, engineering, and integrity related support in both the local operations and corporate settings.

The aim of the AIT role is to provide prioritized Integrity Management of Canlin’s assets to ensure reliability and risk reduction. The AIT will be the area specific technical interface on issues related to the integrity of pressure equipment, piping, pipelines, tanks, and structural assets. The AIT will ensure the appropriate standards and processes are identified, created, and adhered to. Best practices will be shared across the group.

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience: Applicable qualifications and/or accreditation in asset integrity related fields with a minimum of 5 years related experience in oil and gas operations.

Education: A Technical Diploma (preferably Engineering, Operations, Gas Processing, Welding, Materials, Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical).
